Requirements

  • Associates degree in a science-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in cybersecurity, risk management, threat mitigation, incident response at an enterprise level
  • Working knowledge of NIST, CMMC compliance, DFARS, and ITAR/EAR regulations
  • Demonstrated experience using cyber tools, cyber-SaaS monitoring, IAM platforms, LANs, WANs, VPNs, Firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEMs, data loss prevention software, antivirus/antimalware products, forensics, and analysis systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows-based operating systems, Linux, MacOS, networking and technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity trends and security risks
  • Firm understanding of large-scale enterprise IT operations
  • Ability to work with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, and resolve problems
  • Ability to express information effectively to individuals or groups, considering audience and nature of information
  • Ability to provide guidance or recommendations on corrective actions for procedural or systems deficiencies
  • Ability to interact collaboratively, negotiate, and resolve issues associated with information security
  • Thoroughness in performing work and attention to detail (e.g., reviewing accreditation documentation for compliance)
  • Reasonable judgment in identifying, resolving problems, generating/evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data
  • Assist in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs
  • Support IT projects by participating in the design, development, and implementation of information systems to ensure security features and compliance needs are met
  • Perform security analysis during documentation reviews to validate company policies, procedures, and requirements are met
  • Work as part of IT projects to configure, harden, deploy, and maintain secure information systems
  • Support Cyber teams’ efforts towards vulnerability management, triaging alerts, and cyber incident management
  • Respond to, investigate, and prioritize analysis of incoming alerts
  • Drive critical incident response actions and remediate threats throughout global businesses
  • Evaluate requested changes and make actionable recommendations
  • Assist in the development of solutions to problems of unusual complexity requiring ingenuity, creativity, and innovation
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
  • Support numerous cybersecurity technical capabilities and infrastructure at remote locations; assist in configuration, deployment, and operation of new security tools
  • Promote awareness of cybersecurity-related issues among key decision makers and ensure sound security principles are reflected in visions and goals
