Requirements

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or M.S. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of relevant experience. Expertise in AI/ML for security, cryptography, vulnerability research, or formal methods is required, alongside proficiency in C++, Python, C, or Rust with experience in secure software development and build systems (CMake preferred). A strong understanding of operating systems, network protocols, and security architectures is necessary, and candidates should have a detailed publication history to include in their resume/CV. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates may need to obtain or maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

As the Cyber Security Technical Leader, you will lead and build a new cybersecurity research team, collaborating with Kitware’s experts and external partners. You will secure funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships, innovate and prototype solutions for malware analysis, reverse engineering, AI-driven security, and secure systems architecture, and collaborate with DARPA and government agencies to drive real-world security impact. Furthermore, you will share knowledge through publications in security conferences and journals, and apply excellent project management skills to deliver complex research projects effectively.
