Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of cybersecurity experience
  • At least 4 years of SOC experience
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage a technical and operational cybersecurity domain
  • Lead a team of cybersecurity analysts and operators, including hiring, mentoring, and assigning work
  • Identify and implement areas of operational improvement and processes that meet security, corporate, and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as hands-on Servant Leader and technical Subject Matter Expert, accountable for skilling and developing analysts and operators
  • Develop and coach teams to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within teams
  • Serve as Managerial Incident Lead for all analysis and response functions during high-impact cyber events on assigned shift or broader engagement
  • Translate technical details pertaining to threats and incidents into consumable elements for SIIRT and Cyber leadership awareness
  • Mentor and lead SOC analysts in technical and soft skills to build a highly competent, consistent, thoughtful, and customer-centric team
  • Ensure adherence to security operational excellence, consistency in technical and analytical execution, and sharing of common practices
  • Contribute to hiring process, retain talent, and lead a high-functioning, diverse group of Cybersecurity analysts
  • Establish clear objectives and key results, and develop consistent practices and processes aligned with the larger SOC
  • Contribute towards resolution of challenging problems
  • Assist in design and development of security solutions and processes consistent with Cyber Incident and Threat Management program goals
  • Provide program Subject Matter Expertise to influence Cyber-led security optimization initiatives
  • Collect, document, and implement solutions to remediate identified lessons learned
  • Enrich team value by creating training and knowledge sharing opportunities
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with peers and internal business partners
  • Provide guidance and leadership for developing innovative solutions for rapid analysis and response to security incidents at enterprise scale
  • Develop presentations and executive briefings regarding relevant security incidents and findings to senior management
