Responsibilities

  • Assesses, analyzes, and implements information assurance and security engineering systems
  • Defines requirements for business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, internal counter-espionage (insider threat detection and mitigation), physical security analysis (including facilities analysis, and security management) to best protect company assets
  • Assesses and mitigates system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
  • Validates system security requirements definition and analysis
  • Implements and validates security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures
  • Verifies security requirements; performs system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities
  • Supports secure systems operations and maintenance
  • Utilize cybersecurity best practices to develop strategies for information assurance during design, manufacturing, and implementation processes
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of other lower level professionals
  • Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives of projects and assignments
  • Contributes to the completion of project milestones and may have some involvement in cross functional assignments
  • Makes adjustments or recommends enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area
