Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ years preferred with CI/CD principles and tools, at least 1 year in Bazel)
Advanced Embedded System Engineering (must-have skill)
Proficiency in Bazel (must-have skill)
15 years full-time education
Strong understanding of container orchestration and management
Experience with Python/Perl programming language (good-to-have)
Familiarity with cloud service providers and deployment strategies
Previous experience migrating from any build system to Bazel (highly recommended)

Responsibilities

Lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact
Design and develop Bazel build scripts from scratch for each artifact/project, aligning with PLM customizations
Resolve complex, multi-level dependencies across interrelated projects for languages like C++, Python, Java, Scala
Work with Testing team to create test execution plans for Bazel binaries to ensure build integrity and performance post-migration
Develop Bazel build rules, macros, toolchains, and optimize build performance through caching and remote execution
Own, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bazel for automated testing, building, and deployment, integrating with platforms like Jenkins or GitLab
Diagnose and resolve build failures, test issues, and deployment problems in Bazel and CI/CD ecosystem
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams for seamless integration and delivery
Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers on Bazel best practices and build system optimization
Evaluate, implement, and maintain build and automation tools, including scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) for builds and deployments
Collaborate with team members to implement modern frameworks and agile practices for scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to business needs
Participate in discussions to address challenges and contribute to project success
