Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) experience, with at least 1 implementation and multiple support projects (minimum 3 years stated elsewhere)
  • Experience in S/4 HANA is mandatory
  • 5–7 years of SAP SD experience preferably in FMCG
  • Strong configuration knowledge of pricing and promotion schemes, order processing and returns, billing/invoicing/credit management, EDI/IDoc
  • Experience with high-volume transactions and fast distribution cycles
  • Strong understanding of integration with MM, WM, and FI modules
  • Familiarity with Indian tax regulations (GST, HSN codes, etc.)
  • 15 years full-time education
  • Must have skills: SAP Sales and Distribution (SD)
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-transaction FMCG environments
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with sales, supply chain, and IT teams
  • Analytical mindset with focus on process improvement and automation

Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize SAP SD processes for FMCG sales flows: sales order management, free goods/trade promotions/schemes, batch-based delivery/shelf-life tracking
  • Implement complex pricing procedures involving discounts and promotional schemes
  • Customize delivery types, billing types, and returns management (expiry-based)
  • Design and manage interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems (CRM, DMS, WMS/3PL, EDI/IDoc, APIs using SAP PI/PO/CPI/middleware)
  • Handle real-time and batch data exchange for orders, deliveries, invoices, and master data
  • Monitor and troubleshoot interface-related issues, ensuring end-to-end data integrity
  • Automate repetitive sales tasks: auto sales order creation from distributor uploads, auto batch assignment for FEFO, auto batch determination based on shelf life, E-invoicing/E-way bill generation (India GST), EDI automation for ecommerce, background jobs/scheduling
  • Automate order processing, invoicing, and report generation
  • Implement alerts and exception-handling mechanisms to reduce manual intervention
  • Handle day-to-day incidents, service requests, and enhancement tickets
  • Document functional specifications and support ABAP team for custom developments
  • Conduct UAT, system testing, and provide go-live/post-go-live support
  • Analyze, design, code, and test various components of application code across multiple clients
  • Engage in maintenance and enhancement tasks to ensure optimal application function and client requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to development and address challenges
