Requirements

Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition
Minimum 3 years of experience
15 years full-time education
Deep understanding of Java programming, including core concepts like object-oriented programming, exception handling, collections, multi-threading, and garbage collection
Good understanding of Java frameworks like Spring or Quarkus
Knowledge of software architecture and system design
Hands-on experience with design patterns
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
Experience with web application frameworks and technologies
Familiarity with database management systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2) and SQL, including optimization techniques
Knowledge of the testing pyramid, unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
Proficiency in creating, designing, and consuming APIs using microservice architecture on Cloud
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (profiling, benchmarking, memory management)
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Git, CI/CD)
Understanding of security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, secure coding)
Understanding of Cloud, Containerisation, and Kubernetes (basic kubectl commands)
Good communication skills and team player

Responsibilities

Perform testing, including unit, integration, and automated testing using frameworks like JUnit and Mockito
Work with and optimize databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2)
Create, design, and consume APIs utilizing microservice architecture on Cloud
Apply performance optimization techniques such as profiling, benchmarking, and memory management
Participate in Agile development using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban and tools like Jira, Git, CI/CD
Implement security concepts like authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure coding practices
Use Cloud, Containerisation, and Kubernetes technologies
Perform independently and become a subject matter expert (SME)
Actively participate and contribute in team discussions
Contribute solutions to work-related problems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
Design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications using modern frameworks and agile practices

Collaborate with team to understand project needs and develop innovative solutions
