Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years prior work experience in courier, freight handling, or similar roles preferred
  • Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager
  • Ability to lift, bend, and maneuver freight up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Navigate predefined routes via automobile to deliver mail and parcels, ensuring timely and safe delivery
  • Manage the loading, unloading, and proper distribution of freight, adhering to safety and efficiency protocols
  • Assist with the organization and management of shipping and receiving areas as dock support
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on delivery vehicles to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs and time stamps for items received and delivered, supporting chain of custody and company compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and SPS employees
  • Proactively seek out additional tasks during downtime and provide support across operational areas
