Ability to manage multiple assigned key studies of high complexity, ensuring delivery within agreed schedule and quality requirements
Capability to execute the prime contract at a local level by implementing global study strategy and proactively managing risks
Experience interpreting data on complex issues and making good business decisions with minimal support
Works closely with global functional departments and sites to meet or exceed customer expectations on time, quality, and cost
Maintains profitability by ensuring clinical activity is conducted within contract scope
Ability to motivate and inspire local teams to keep studies on track and capitalize on opportunities
Typically works independently on projects of high complexity and varying degrees of unique study challenges (e.g., accelerated timelines, new indications)
Acts as role model and mentor to less experienced CPM staff
Provides local support on global and/or multicountry studies, ensuring smooth communication and timely delivery
Compliance with company quality framework, ICH GCP, and international standards throughout the study lifecycle

Responsibilities

Acts as the lead study reference for assigned high-complexity projects, providing global, territorial, and site-level oversight and leadership
Manages local clinical operational and quality aspects from initiation to close-out
For certain projects, manages all start-up activities or collaborates with the global start-up team
Facilitates successful site qualification visits, site initiation visits, timely ethics committee and regulatory submissions (if appropriate)
Reviews and follows up on all questions raised by ethics committees
Identifies and manages potential rate-limiting factors (e.g., drug supply, vendors) to ensure maximum and seamless recruitment
Continuously measures and assesses study performance by collecting and analyzing study metrics to predict status, progress, and ensure contractual obligations are met (or organizes contract amendments)
Regularly reviews projects using tracking and management tools, provides status updates to the O&SS Lead
Identifies risks, implements proactive solutions and recovery actions, identifies problems, and escalates appropriately and timely
Monitors and analyzes recruitment methods against results in collaboration with GEO, and processes patient pre-identification, retention at sites against targets to ensure a strong study funnel
