Requirements

  • Hold the credentials of a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB): Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC), Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC), Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP), or Credential of Co-Occurring
  • For Kansas: Hold credentials as defined by the Kansas Behavioral Science Regulatory Board (BSRB): Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) or Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), or appropriate state board credentials
  • Willing to become licensed in additional states beyond the current state of licensure
  • Willing and comfortable providing telehealth services
  • Strong understanding of addiction treatment methods, principles, and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish rapport with clients and work effectively with a diverse population
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding substance use disorder treatment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Complete intakes, screenings, and assessments to create personalized treatment plans for clients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans addressing each client’s unique needs and goals
  • Teach clients coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and other recovery strategies
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
  • Keep detailed records of client progress and updates
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities
  • Represent the company in the community and build positive relationships with referral sources, clients, and professionals
  • Handle crisis situations with grace and professionalism
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions focused on recovery, healthy decision-making, and improved problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a holistic approach to client care
