Responsibilities

  • Provides input on evaluation as appropriate under supervision of a staff Occupational Therapist
  • Plans treatment programs with supervising therapist
  • Assists in identifying goals, determining treatment priorities and selecting appropriate treatment media
  • Executes treatment programs under supervision of staff therapist
  • Coordinates programs with other therapists
  • Prepares documentation as required by the department (e.g., input on evaluation results, treatment plans, progress reports, patient attendance records)
  • Communicates observations, facts, and comments with interdisciplinary team members, individually and through team meeting participation
  • Assists with staff/student on the job training/orientation
  • Provides monitoring of assigned student interns
  • Attends care conferences as needed
