Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CMA preferred. A minimum of 8 years of accounting experience is preferred, including at least 5 years in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory management practices is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to streamline and automate complex processes, possess extremely strong Excel skills, and have excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills and experience with NetSuite or other accounting ERP systems are preferred, along with the ability to work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

The Cost Accounting Manager will own the inventory costing process and its financial reporting impacts while developing and maintaining costs of finished goods and production components in a worldwide ERP system. They will oversee inventory valuation and costing methods, improve processes related to manufacturing costing, and implement changes to enhance cost control and reporting accuracy. The role includes analyzing variances, preparing detailed reports, managing month-end close and financial reporting for inventory-related accounts, and ensuring the validity of the ERP through analysis and coordination with various teams. Additionally, they will prepare financial analysis related to manufacturing costs and inventory for decision-making support.
