Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or any other related field
  • Experience in trading operations role (preferably buy-side, but would consider IB/admin/AM candidates)
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a strong control mindset and a high level of self-leadership
  • Strong product knowledge of financial instruments e.g. Equities, Swaps, Futures & Options, FX, Bonds, OTC etc
  • Experienced in performing reconciliations, including break resolution
  • Experience working with large data sets and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel functions like pivot tables and vlookup etc
  • Experience of OMS/accounting systems and/or external affirmation platforms e.g. Enfusion, Traiana, Geneva etc

Responsibilities

  • Perform T+1 position, trade and cash reconciliations between internal systems and vs Prime Brokers, for a variety of financial instruments including Equities, Swaps, F&O, FX, Bonds, OTC
  • Review external fund administrators’ T+1 reconciliations and assist with investigation
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve breaks e.g. Middle Office, Asset Servicing, Fund Accounting, Prime Brokers, Third-Party service providers
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders e.g. Technology, Trade Support, MO, PBs, service providers etc. to resolve operational issues, automate operational processes, implement strategic initiatives, roll out best practices and standardize operational procedures
  • Work alongside senior team members and management on strategic initiatives
  • Create structure by defining operational procedures, recommending process improvements and rolling them out
  • Other ad-hoc tasks and/or projects
