Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Communication/Advertising, or a related field
  • 1–4 years of experience in writing, copywriting, or marketing
  • Experience writing in brand voice, with ability to switch among brand voices of multiple restaurant partners
  • Deep knowledge and passion for food, cooking, and restaurants; restaurant and/or food brand experience preferred
  • Understanding of a wide range of cuisines, culinary techniques, and ability to translate chefs’ recipes
  • Nerd-level command of language and grammar; experience with multiple style guides (variation of AP) a plus; must love the Oxford comma
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Write aspirational but accessible, on-brand copy for channels including web, direct mail, out of home, organic and paid social, packaging, and email
  • Help shape, maintain, and share the Wonder brand voice to equip team members with on-brand writing tools
  • Edit copy and drive messaging, integrating copy, imagery, and product to convey resonant stories aligned with brand priorities
  • Manage complex projects with cross-functional teams and competing deadlines
  • Collaborate with designers to create compelling content that advances the Wonder brand
  • Work with culinary team to vibrantly describe dishes on the Wonder app
  • Confidently present creative concepts to peers and leadership
  • Proofread, line edit, and quality check outgoing assets to maintain high standards and attention to detail
  • Live out company values and foster a collaborative, inventive, and generous team
