HBO work and thinking level with a completed degree in a technical field

Responsibilities

Ensure the good condition of buildings and correct functioning of technical installations
Arrange preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings and installations via technical partners
Critically assess installations and take proactive measures
Monitor the performance of external parties, conduct spot checks, and adjust as needed
Organize necessary replacements and (preventive) repair works (including safety)
Guarantee business continuity on a technical level (e.g., uptime of data centers and studios)
Ensure technical installations comply with current regulations
Ensure alarms are followed up according to a proper alarm flow and resolved based on urgency
Monitor budgets for preventive and corrective maintenance
Actively monitor and analyze energy management
Proactively seek optimizations to improve energy management, identify causes of deviations, and resolve them promptly
Contribute to drastically reducing energy consumption in the coming years
Minimize peak energy consumption through analysis and schedule it at the most favorable times
Develop projects for energy savings and generation of renewable energy
Monitor energy budgets
Develop technical projects: investigate possible technical solutions and compare pros and cons
Coordinate technical projects from initiation to completion
Participate in project teams or collaborate with colleagues or (external) experts for complex or specific technical projects
Ensure technical projects proceed safely for people, assets, and business continuity
Monitor quality and timing of assigned projects
Guarantee financial follow-up of assigned projects
Keep as-builts and inventories up to date
Ensure all buildings and installations are organized and checked in compliance with legal requirements (e.g., statutory inspections, cooling certificates)
Ensure necessary permits are in order (e.g., environmental permits)
Escalate issues related to safety, business continuity, or environment to the appropriate persons
Provide first-line colleagues with necessary instructions to intervene quickly and safely
Prepare initial budgets and follow them up
