Requirements

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Equivalent qualification or relevant professional certification is highly desirable
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or a Swiss-equivalent certification (e.g., certified accountant) is a plus
  • Seven to ten years of progressive experience in accounting, with specific experience in statutory reporting for a multinational company
  • Deep knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and U.S. GAAP

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the meticulous preparation of annual and interim statutory financial statements, adhering strictly to Swiss Code of Obligations accounting principles, encompassing various smaller international statutory reporting requirements
  • Leverage extensive experience in multi-book bookkeeping to efficiently record transactions simultaneously across consolidated and statutory general ledgers
  • Guarantee the scrupulous fulfillment of all statutory reporting obligations and expertly manage the reconciliation process between statutory and Group accounts (e.g., US GAAP), resolving discrepancies
  • Act as the principal liaison for external auditors, planning and managing the annual statutory audit calendar, coordinating deliverables, and addressing audit queries
  • Prepare and submit a full spectrum of required filings, including statutory accounts, tax provisions, and other ad-hoc regulatory or statistical reports
  • Interpret, implement, and monitor adherence to local accounting policies and standards; stay updated on changes in Swiss financial reporting regulations
  • Proactively identify, champion, and drive opportunities for enhancing the statutory reporting process, including increasing efficiency, data quality, and compliance
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with internal teams (finance, tax, legal, etc.) and external partners (auditors, service providers)
  • Maintain a resilient internal control environment, safeguarding the integrity of all financial books and records pertinent to statutory reporting
