Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and hold a CPA or CMA certification. They should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role, with demonstrated experience in a SaaS or EdTech organization, and strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger, while also managing Treasury and cash management processes. They will prepare and present accurate financial statements, develop and maintain internal controls, coordinate the annual audit process, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management. Additionally, the role involves managing and mentoring the accounting team, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems.
