Requirements

Candidates must possess deep knowledge of Destiny 2 activities from hundreds of hours of playtime, with an expert understanding of Destiny 2 buildcrafting and metas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for describing bugs and feedback about game systems, along with proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. The role also requires the ability to efficiently find and document root causes for discovered issues, work independently and with teammates, and maintain strong organizational skills. A strong desire to continuously learn complex game systems and practice curiosity, humility, and positive intent in all interactions is essential. Nice-to-have skills include 1+ years of software testing experience, 1+ years in video game QA, accurate and quick execution of manual test cases and ad-hoc testing, previous experience working on shipped console or PC titles, experience testing and playing on multiple platforms, experience working with game dev or software dev tools, and experience with top played FPS/MMO games.

Responsibilities

Testers will coordinate with Bungie QA staff to direct their day-to-day playtesting and log excellent functional bugs in upcoming Destiny 2 content by utilizing deep attention to detail. They will capture and escalate experiential feedback on how game content could better reach Bungie's goals for Destiny 2. Utilizing strong communication skills, they will empathetically and logically explain complex issues to stakeholders and rapidly build context while applying test best practices as directed by their leads.
