Requirements
- Proven experience administering MySQL RDBMS
- Expertise in backup and recovery strategies
- Knowledge of high availability and replication setups
- Experience with MySQL patching in Linux environments
- Proficiency in scripting and SQL
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure database cloud environments
- Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a MySQL DBA
- Exposure to Postgres and MS SQL Server is a plus
Responsibilities
- Resolve performance issues and conduct root cause analysis
- Maintain proactive communication with line managers and stakeholders regarding progress and challenges
- Research and recommend new or alternative database technologies
- Review and propose upgrades or changes to database infrastructure
- Collaborate with Technical Architects and senior developers to provide design guidance and ensure alignment with operational standards
- Perform maintenance and bug fixes on existing database infrastructure
- Lead efforts in database infrastructure improvements and modernization
