Requirements

  • +2 years of experience working in data-focused roles such as Functional Consultant, Data Analyst, Data Modeler, or Business Analyst within enterprise environments
  • Experience in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical models
  • Strong understanding of data architectures, data integration patterns, and modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner, Enterprise Architect)
  • Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to analyze data structures, validate mappings, and support integration requirements
  • Experience performing requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation with business and IT stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements for technical teams
  • Hands-on experience creating data mappings (source-to-target), data dictionaries, and metadata documentation
  • Familiarity with Data Governance principles
  • Experience participating in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Fluency in Portuguese, with advanced technical English

Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure functional requirements and data needs are clearly understood and accurately implemented
  • Collect, analyze, and document business and data requirements across multiple domains
  • Work closely with the Data Architecture team to ensure functional alignment and adherence to enterprise data standards
  • Map business data elements to target data models and produce detailed source-to-target mapping documentation
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the data platform
  • Support Data Governance initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, proper metadata management, and adherence to internal policies
  • Validate functional deliverables during development sprints and support QA/UAT cycles by reviewing test cases and validating outcomes
  • Create user stories, functional specifications, prototypes, and acceptance criteria to ensure traceability and clarity for development teams
  • Collaborate daily with data architects, business analysts, data engineers, and cross-functional technical teams
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive functional documentation and present solutions to stakeholders for review and approval
