Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or Master’s degree in related field with solid software product development skills)
  • 6+ years software Development Business Analyst experience, ideally in an Agile Scrum environment, with ability to work across multiple multi-functional teams
  • Solid understanding and industry experience in health care and/or benefits administration and/or product development (preferred)
  • Expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation
  • Solid grasp of the architecture and deployment needed to support web development
  • Experience interacting closely with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders across Fidelity Health Benefits domain to elicit product requirements and support post-production support
  • Experience in user interface (UI) design for tools and dashboards and collaborating with UX/UI designers (plus)
  • Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; experience with JIRA or similar agile backlog management and testing tool, and Confluence
  • Proficient in SQL for querying databases; familiarity with DBeaver or another SQL query tool
  • Strong data analysis and data interpretation skills; experience with data mapping (plus)
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional® (CBAP®) certification or Certified Scrum Product Owner certification (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Owner (Squad Leader) and technology teams to create, prioritize, and maintain product backlog
  • Translate business requirements to technical resources to focus the team on delivering business solutions with the highest customer value
  • Partner with technology and business customers on multi-functional Agile scrum teams to develop and implement product and service features in health care applications from inception to delivery
  • Translate business vision into defined and prioritized user stories for the team’s backlog
  • Understand complex customer needs, translate them into user stories with concrete acceptance criteria, and drive solution formulation with a multi-functional team
  • Deliver frequent, high business value features with a customer-obsessed approach
  • Look for opportunities to innovate and take thoughtful risks to improve work efficiency
  • Lead, facilitate, and drive individuals and group meetings to common goals
  • Build relationships, foster strong teams, and influence others
  • Plan and complete work independently as a self-motivated teammate
