Requirements

  • Lead end-to-end Configuration Management for the program, including governance of device code and software baselines across LAN and WAN networks
  • Mature the ServiceNow CMDB
  • Co-chair CCB/PIR/RCA
  • Integrate with Change/Release/Incident/Problem processes to ensure SOW and security compliance of managed DISA STIG–aligned “gold copy” configurations and firmware baselines
  • Maintain office presence a minimum of 5 days per week (no relocation offered)
  • Utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct CM records problems
  • Experience with LAN/WAN networks, ServiceNow CMDB, DISA STIGs, and network vulnerability management
  • Ability to oversee, mentor, and supervise subordinate managers and staff

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall health and wellness of the Configuration Management workforce
  • Lead the IT-IA-IM baseline configuration for all-project related work for project oversight as well as office-level oversight and control
  • Lead the configuration of IT-IA-IM software executables to environments (development, test, staging and production)
  • Represent CM team in the Configuration Control Board (CCB), supporting Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) pertaining to managed Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Build and maintain CM operational guides, manuals, SOPs, and as-built documentation; ensure they are audited and versioned
  • Define and enforce drawing standards, maintain authoritative network diagrams and CI record inventories
  • Oversee, mentor, and supervise subordinate managers and staff
  • Integrate Configuration Management with Release, Change, Incident, Problem, and network vulnerability management processes
  • Ensure products and services comply with contractual and quality standards
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all CM operations and maintenance activities to upper leadership
  • Develop policy for documenting and changing baseline CIs
  • Participate in evaluation of new network technologies and make recommendations to the program regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network records processes and systems
  • Develop and implement methodologies for analysis, testing, and support of LAN and WAN network configuration baselines
  • Monitor security posture of the network and mitigate non-compliance through scheduled maintenance
  • Lead program’s Configuration Compliance group, responsible for “gold copy” network device configurations, implementation of DISA STIGs into these baselines, and management of device software baselines/firmware upgrade schedules
  • Support Service Operations team by maintaining the product baseline for all network hardware, systems software, and applications software
  • Maintain the operational configuration baseline and establish network drawing and compliance standards
  • Provide support for relevant Configuration Management related meetings
  • Support the Change Management Process to ensure proper synergies with relevant data
  • Interface with and coordinate work taskings through customer managed ticket system
  • Plan and execute the development/maturation of program-specific ServiceNow instance, specifically the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) where all program CIs and hardware asset records are maintained
  • Oversee the implementation of standard network change requests in remediation to Change and Configuration Management findings
