Roca Robotics' computer vision team is at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge algorithms for accurate trading card recognition and integrating them with advanced robotic sorters to revolutionize card sorting automation. We are seeking a versatile Computer Vision Engineer/Data Engineer with expertise in computer vision, data engineering, and software engineering, along with some robotics background. You will have the opportunity to improve our card sorting robotic platforms and contribute to the evolution of our robots.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering/data engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience working with computer vision algorithms.
  • Expertise in Python, C++, and SQL.
  • Expertise with OpenCV and home-rolled systems.
  • Experience with Linux, AWS administration, and familiarity with basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with Javascript.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Adapt existing Roca Robotics recognition software to recognize new trading card games and different types of cards.
  • Develop and maintain efficient ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to ensure seamless extraction, transformation, and loading of card catalog data.
  • Play a key role in making improvements and addressing recognition issues with the Roca Robotics card recognition software.
  • Import new sources of card data to be used for sorting.
  • Improve sorting algorithms and other features of the Roca Sorters.
  • Document processes, methodologies, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

Salary

  • Base pay range: $95,200 - $168,700 (Base pay offered may vary based on multiple factors)
