Requirements

Candidates should possess experience with at least one GPU API (OpenGL, Direct3D, Vulkan or Metal) and shading languages (GLSL, HLSL, etc.), along with a strong background in C/C++ and computer science fundamentals. Experience with debugging and testing native applications, profiling tools and optimization, and low-level CPU code optimization and SIMD programming is preferred. Knowledge of 3D content production pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Computer Graphics Software Engineer will collaborate with engineers and designers to architect, develop, and optimize new features in the procedural engine, implement and optimize high-performance image-processing algorithms on various hardware platforms, identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks, maintain and extend the technological stack involved in building, testing, packaging, and shipping a core library, review code, and provide constructive feedback. They will also work on the component responsible for real-time rendering of procedural textures on multiple hardware platforms and operating systems within Substance Designer and Substance Painter.
