Candidates should have 2+ years of live-action feature film or episodic compositing experience, intermediate to advanced Nuke skills, and knowledge of compositing workflows. A general understanding of 3D computer graphics, including modeling, lighting, and animation is required, along with outstanding organizational and time management skills. Traditional art, photography, and film background is preferred, as is Python, Blinkscript, or C++ experience. Nuke particle experience and 360 VR or Array Compositing experience are also preferred.
The Compositor will harmonize all layers and elements to create the final and complete shot for live-action feature films, primarily working in Nuke. They will create high quality and aesthetically pleasing composites within the allotted time, collaborate closely with other Compositors and the Compositing Lead/Supervisor, receive and implement feedback, ensure shots are delivered to the highest standard and on schedule, share knowledge and mentor fellow compositors, troubleshoot complex compositing scripts, and utilize core knowledge of 2D image manipulation processes.
