Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, or related technical program
Basic understanding of composite materials, fabrication processes, or general manufacturing techniques preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work safely in a production environment
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and layup of composite materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aramid fabrics
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, ply schedules, and work instructions
Support the cutting, kitting, and labeling of materials for layup
Participate in vacuum bagging, resin infusion, and autoclave curing processes under supervision
Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring compliance with FOD and safety protocols
Support demolding, trimming, sanding, and finishing of composite parts
Conduct basic inspections of layup quality and dimensional accuracy
Document process steps and report any defects or discrepancies to senior technicians
Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to support prototype builds and R&D projects
