Requirements

  • Fit & Proper individual certified as Compliance Officer and AMLCO
  • Highly skilled in EU compliance, particularly Fintech domains (PSD3, GDPR, DORA, AML, etc.)
  • Track record of implementing high-quality internal control strategies in a large, complex organization
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced compliance professional
  • Based in Belgium for the EU payment institution role

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the organisation's compliance program across Fintech domains (DORA, GDPR, PSD3, AML, etc.), ensuring compliance with legal requirements and National Bank of Belgium (NBB) expectations
  • Act as the AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) for the EU entity, staying updated on EU financial crime legislation and ensuring compliance with AML/CTF requirements
  • Provide senior management with independent day-to-day compliance and AML advice to meet current and upcoming regulatory requirements
  • Articulate and deliver a robust compliance plan for the organisation
  • Design a strong internal controls environment through the development of policies and procedures, ensuring their implementation and monitoring compliance
  • Report directly to the global deputy Chief Compliance Officer while contributing to the wider global compliance function
