Candidates must have experience in compliance activities, including reviewing internal processes, documents, and reports from payment networks and regulatory bodies. A strong understanding of federal Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Know Your Customer (KYC) principles is essential. Experience with due diligence on prospective clients, including analyzing corporate documents to identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and verifying corporate structures, is required. Familiarity with payment networks such as Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover is necessary. The role also requires knowledge of processing platforms, downstream services/products, and potential client impacts. Experience in developing and implementing training plans, coordinating with Legal, Sales, and Onboarding teams, and managing third-party due diligence vendors is beneficial.
The Compliance Analyst II will proactively protect the business by assisting in all compliance activities, ensuring adherence to internal and external regulatory frameworks. This includes reviewing processes, documents, and reports, and identifying necessary business and system updates. Responsibilities also involve conducting comprehensive due diligence on prospective clients, performing in-depth research on high-risk clients, and escalating cases as needed. The role requires applying federal AML and KYC regulations, serving as a subject matter expert, and acting as the primary contact for third-party due diligence vendors. Additionally, the analyst will develop and deliver training on best practices, maintain detailed records, prepare metrics on due diligence activities, execute periodic processor audits and sanctions screenings, and administer the compliance workstream of initiatives and projects.
