Requirements

  • Ability to design market outreach programs ready for Land Trust and Housing Finance Agencies (HFA), including education and activities
  • Skills in managing and developing ongoing community campaigns with realtors, builders, financial planners, and other Centers of Influence (COIs) for homebuyer education and product training, focused on low to moderate income areas and first-time homebuyers
  • Capability to maintain a pipeline of CRA and non-CRA business, including AMP Mortgage transactions, state housing, and local down payment assistance programs, while serving all bank clients
  • Proficiency in developing business plans, implementing campaigns for prospects, current clients, past clients, and lead lists, and identifying new community campaign opportunities
  • Experience analyzing reports on pipeline management for compliance reporting, tracking CRA activity results, including lender targets for low to moderate income borrowers and community outreach impact
  • Ability to identify support needs, manage vendor lead distribution, conduct independent research on competitive conditions (price, service, programs) focused on CRA development for low to moderate income borrowers/communities, and create ongoing training
  • Knowledge to assist in branch support for product questions, cross-training programs, CRM and pipeline management, and onboarding new mortgage lenders to meet market penetration goals in low to moderate income communities
  • Capacity to promote home ownership through community outreach, demonstrate inclusive marketing, conduct first-time home buyer classes, host booths at non-profit events, and achieve lending origination goals in minority/diverse regions
  • Skills in organizing outreach to organizations representing the ethnic makeup of the market area to promote lending capabilities and understand market needs, while working with the compliance department

Responsibilities

  • Support the local area mortgage production team in CRA-specific market outreach and community education opportunities targeted at low to moderate income borrowers and areas
  • Collaborate with industry (realtors, builders) and non-industry (local employers, non-profits) groups via marketing activities and bank-approved opportunities
  • Maintain a pipeline of CRA and non-CRA business, including AMP Mortgage transactions, state housing, and local down payment assistance programs, while serving all bank clients with Banner Bank mortgage products
  • Develop and implement a business plan with campaigns for prospects, current clients, past clients, and lead lists; identify new opportunities for community engagement
  • Analyze pipeline management reports for upstream compliance reporting on CRA activity results, including lender targets for low to moderate income borrowers, production, and impact
  • Manage vendor lead distribution, research competitive conditions in markets (focused on CRA for low to moderate income), and create ongoing training
  • Assist branches with product questions, cross-training, CRM/pipeline management, and onboarding new mortgage lenders to exceed market penetration in low to moderate income communities
  • Promote home ownership via community outreach around the designated branch, including inclusive marketing, first-time home buyer classes, booths at non-profit events, and developing leads/loans/relationships
