Responsibilities

  • Support customer announcements, enterprise/education storytelling
  • Develop and execute communications strategies to raise awareness of OpenAI’s products, partnerships, and mission in Japan
  • Forge deep relationships with local media and manage inbound requests on a range of issues
  • Manage media briefings and cultivate relationships with influencers
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Events, Global Affairs, Product, and other teams in Japan and APAC
  • Provide counsel and support to team members across the organization
  • Anticipate comms risks and establish risk mitigation strategies
  • Localize US press releases and materials to the Japanese market
  • Manage PR/media relations for OpenAI in Japan
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive external communications that educate on technology, efforts, and principles
