Responsibilities

  • Cover Processing positions: Grade approximately 60,000 chicks; operate robot to vaccinate and beak trim approximately 2,000 chicks per hour per customer order; perform toe trim on approximately 8,000 chicks for identification; stack and move approximately 600 boxes of processed chicks; perform dubbing on combs and dotting heads on approximately 8,000 chicks for identification (25%)
  • Cover Egg Trayer positions: Assist Shipping Clerk with preparing international and domestic egg shipments; transfer up to 100+ cases of eggs from pallets and stack up to 5 feet high; move 25-50 farm buggies full of eggs on/off trucks into Egg Room; assist with egg sets, inventory of eggs and buggies; move setter buggies; keep hatching eggs separated by flock and line type; maintain clean and organized work area (25%)
  • Cover Sanitation positions: Wash and sanitize 26 setter buggies, 42 farm buggies, 2,520 egg flats (506 grams each), 1,500 chick boxes (2 pounds each) using pressure washer; dump cull eggs; pull empty farm and setter buggies to Egg Room; wash and sanitize pull room, dirty side box room, hatchery, hatchers, hallways, holding room, box room, and approximately 200 dollies (up to 5 pounds) with pressure washer; wash troughs with water hose; set eggs in setters and inspect chicks in hatchers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
