Previous agricultural or production experience preferred
Willing to work Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am until 3:00 pm, including holidays (schedule subject to change)
Comply with biosecurity requirements: shower, change clothing and footwear before entering facility, wear no jewelry except medical ID, cover body piercings, sign agreement to avoid avian species, abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
Physically capable: regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds with team member, occasionally up to 100+ pounds; stand majority of shift on various surfaces, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb/step over, balance, stoop/bend repeatedly, talk, hear, drive vehicle or back trailer; specific vision abilities (requirements partially listed)

Responsibilities

Transfers and sexes birds (25%)
Assembles equipment (25%)
Moves birds from one house to the next or within houses (25%)
Stacks and moves coops of birds (15%)
Other duties as assigned (10%): assists with identifying gender, catching birds, scanning wing band numbers, auditing market birds for wing bands; set-up for selection (loading empty coops, placing catch frames, hanging lights, setting up scales/scanner, making coop labels, placing coops, running cords); euthanizes weak/ill/injured birds per company policy and disposes properly
