Requirements

Valid Permanent Driver’s License with 1 year verifiable driving experience and clean safety record
Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screen
Ability to communicate in oral, written, and comprehensive form; complete production/receiving reports accurately and legibly by hand
Ability to use safe lifting techniques and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for recording information
Compliance with biosecurity/animal welfare requirements, including showering, changing clothing/footwear, and no jewelry except as specified

Responsibilities

Remove used litter from houses; clean and disinfect poultry houses and all equipment (including vehicles/tractors) using commercial pressure washer on wet/slick floors; place new shavings in houses following cleaning (55%)
Move birds as required to feed conversion houses, growing houses, laying houses, or live haul loading area (10%)
Repair and maintain tractors, pressure washers, litter truck, trailers, and mechanical equipment (10%)
Perform other duties as assigned, such as repairing cages, pens, equipment, buildings, or fenced yards; repairing pens or equipment (feeders, waterers, lights, fans, etc.); farm cleanup (garbage/litter retrieval); properly euthanize weak/ill birds per company policy (10%)
Perform simple math as part of recording information according to instructions and Cobb procedures (15%)
Bush hogging and/or mowing around poultry houses; maintaining and cleaning farm equipment
Assist with bird movement as needed
