  • Willing to shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility (company provides clothing and footwear)
  • No jewelry except medical ID; body piercings covered by clothing
  • Willing to sign agreement to avoid avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
  • Willing to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Willing to wear company-issued facial coverings (essential function; training provided)
  • Physical ability to regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds and up to 100 pounds at times using safe techniques
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel objects/tools/controls, reach with hands/arms, balance, stoop, talk/hear, drive vehicle
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
  • Available for 1st shift: Monday-Friday starting at 5:00 a.m. until job complete (typically 40 hours/week, subject to change including holidays)

Responsibilities

  • Vaccinate GP Chickens (50%)
  • Move pullets (40%)
  • Operate high pressure and regular water hose, maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, clean and disinfect Cobb vehicles, maintain clean and organized work area (6%)
  • Move spike males (4%)
