Willing to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
Able to read and write to complete daily checklists
Able to use safe lifting techniques
Able to regularly transfer eggs approximately 1300 times weighing ~30 pounds
Able to regularly pull setter buggies weighing 500-1000 pounds
Preferred: previous agricultural or production experience

Responsibilities

Preparation of Embrex equipment (15%)
Transfer eggs to Embrex machine ~1300 times weighing 30 pounds for vaccination; check for rotten, broken, or upside-down eggs (15%)
Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers and inject vaccines into eggs per customer order (15%)
Pull setter buggies on casters full of eggs (~500-1000 pounds) into Embrex room (15%)
Clean Embrex equipment with water hose and clean/disinfect hallway using pressure washer (15%)
Prepare hatchers to be turned on by attaching necessary information (15%)
Monitor temperatures and turn failures in setters and hatchers
Properly euthanize weak/ill chicks per company policy
Dispense formaldehyde into containers using PPE
Check embryo temperatures
Pull empty farm and setter buggies to Egg Room
Other duties as assigned
