Must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview
Preferred previous agricultural or production experience
Must comply with biosecurity/animal welfare requirements: showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility (company provides appropriate clothing and footwear), no jewelry may be worn on the job
Willingness to work schedule: Sunday through Wednesday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm or until complete; alternate Wednesday from 5:10 am to 3:10 pm or until complete (schedule subject to change based on production needs)
Ability to perform physical tasks including picking up/delivering eggs, operating equipment, cleaning, and maintaining sanitary conditions

Responsibilities

Pick up eggs from houses in laying, traps, and cages sections and deliver to hatchery (50%)
Operate egg sanitizer by placing and removing eggs on a conveyor belt
Grade eggs by observing shell color, quality, and texture to identify substandard eggs
Place hatching eggs in buggies as identified by line, flock#, and/or hen#
Pack eggs in cases for international orders
Place substandard eggs (broken, dirty, etc.) in container for disposal
Load PS/SS eggs on truck and deliver to front egg room for pick up by off-site driver; assist with loading PS/SS egg racks on truck for transport to off-site hatchery (10%)
Monitor hatchery environment hourly for proper temperature and humidity levels and report issues as needed (10%)
Maintain sanitary environment: operate tray washer to wash/disinfect flats and hatcher trays; disinfect crates daily and thorough cleaning weekly; operate foamer to disinfect egg van after each pickup; fumigate specified areas as required; operate high pressure sprayer and water hose to clean and sanitize egg room and hatchery vehicles daily; remove waste at end of shift (20%)
Other duties as assigned, such as on alternate Wednesday performing Hatchery Processing duties, maintaining vehicle by checking fluid levels, filters, and tire pressure, and maintaining a clean and organized work/break area (10%)
