Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a general professional field (4 years of college)
10+ years of poultry management related experience
Standard computer skills, including working with Excel spreadsheets and data in several other computer applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use safe lifting techniques; regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger/handle/feel objects/tools/controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, or hear; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Willingness to follow required safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment when visiting facilities
Compliance with biosecurity protocols: shower before entering biosecure environments, wear appropriate company-provided clothing and footwear, no jewelry except medical ID, sign agreement to avoid avian species (chickens, ducks, birds), and follow Company Animal Welfare Policy
Supervisory experience: 8+ salaried team members and 50+ hourly team members
Willingness to travel to all GP facilities within the specified region

Responsibilities

Lead and direct the GGP GP and Hatchery production team to provide quality hatching eggs through production performance and flock health status
Achieve production objectives
Achieve compliance with regulations and objectives
Build and maintain effective contract grower relations (60+ contract farms and lease farm operations)
Support genetic progress in the production pipeline
Build and achieve budget
Develop qualified and effective team members
