Requirements
- Master’s Degree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health field of study
- Preferred crisis intervention experience
- Must be able to pass a background check as required by the Springfield Police Department

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Springfield Police Department to provide crisis intervention and support in the community
- Coordinate services and develop local systems of care for individuals with behavioral health needs
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and officer directives regarding scene security
- Document and track all interventions according to agency standards and regulations
- Assist law enforcement with Involuntary Detention procedures when appropriate
- Provide training and consultation on behavioral health issues for Springfield Police Department
