Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, assembly, and validation of test fixtures used in medical device manufacturing, working under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Support in drafting and updating requirements, design documentation, and test protocols for fixture projects
  • Take responsibility for small subsystems or components within larger fixture builds, gaining exposure from concept through integration
  • Help with verification testing and data analysis, ensuring fixtures meet performance and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with fixture vendors and internal software/hardware teams on integration, debugging, and upgrades
  • Participate in process risk assessments (PFMEA) and contribute ideas to improve fixture reliability and usability
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to learn about the full product lifecycle
  • Present project updates and findings to the systems engineering team, developing confidence in technical communication
