Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Substantial understanding and knowledge of CNC programming
  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC
  • Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)
  • Ability to effectively work alongside, present information, and respond to questions/requests from managers, peers, customers, and the general public
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining company quality standards
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs
  • Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete shop paperwork
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close and distance vision, color, and peripheral vision, and ability to focus

Responsibilities

  • Develops CNC programs as required
  • Completes setup of all CNC jobs with required fixtures and tooling
  • Trains employees to set up and program CNC machines
  • Orders perishable tooling for the CNC machines
  • Approves CNC machine setups
  • Documents specific setups and processes as necessary
  • Attends any required Technical Team meetings
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area
  • Supports and follows all QMS requirements
  • Observes all Boyd safety guidelines and OSHA procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
