Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Strong ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Substantial understanding and knowledge of CNC programming
Previous manufacturing experience
Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC
Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)
Ability to effectively work alongside, present information, and respond to questions/requests from managers, peers, customers, and the general public
Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining company quality standards
Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs
Analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete shop paperwork
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or touch tools, equipment, and/or controls
Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required, including close and distance vision, color, and peripheral vision, and ability to focus

Responsibilities

Develops CNC programs as required
Completes setup of all CNC jobs with required fixtures and tooling
Trains employees to set up and program CNC machines
Orders perishable tooling for the CNC machines
Approves CNC machine setups
Documents specific setups and processes as necessary
Attends any required Technical Team meetings
Maintains a clean and orderly work area
Supports and follows all QMS requirements
Observes all Boyd safety guidelines and OSHA procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
