High school diploma or equivalency preferred (pre-employment assessment required if not held)
Trade school for machining practices preferred
Math skills to perform basic calculations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Demonstrate attention to detail
Ability to read measuring equipment (calipers/micrometers)
Able to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including eye, ear, and foot protection
May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining centers and conventional machines to fabricate parts
Load parts in machine and cycle machine
Detect malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools
Run production lots
Communicate with co-workers regarding production runs
Maintain safe, organized, and clean work environment
Check and monitor parts being run
Read basic dimensions and tolerances of blueprints
Ensure quality standards are met
Produce proper amount of parts per machine cycle time
Deburr and blend all machined parts
Perform daily maintenance on machines (maintain fluid levels, empty chips, wipe down machine to remove coolant, dust, and debris)
Maintain clean and organized work area
Complete and maintain paperwork properly
Maintain attendance (always on time and present)
