Requirements
Candidates should have 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, and AWS Config. Strong background in cloud security, access management, and implementing MFA/2FA solutions is required, along with AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred. Proficiency with CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar IaC tools, experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting (Python, Bash), and monitoring tools, and understanding of cloud cost optimization, budgeting, and financial operations principles are also necessary. Knowledge of security frameworks, audit procedures, and compliance requirements is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
The Cloud Systems Specialist (AWS) will manage, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across all environments. They will administer and integrate GitHub repositories, including access management, workflow automation, and repository security controls. This role will implement, monitor, and enforce MFA/2FA and other security best practices across all cloud and code systems, conduct regular security and compliance audits of cloud workloads, access controls, and code repositories, and optimize cloud spending through FinOps principles. They will also automate routine tasks and system monitoring using infrastructure-as-code tools and CI/CD pipelines, respond to and remediate security incidents or vulnerabilities, collaborate with DevOps, security, and IT teams, and document processes, configurations, and audit findings.
