The role involves engaging with new cloud providers to obtain quotes and finding cost-effective capacity within existing providers. Responsibilities include improving GPU utilization, negotiating with vendors, and optimizing pricing strategies. The candidate will pull and analyze data from various cloud APIs, manage large datasets of spending, and collaborate with software engineers to implement optimizations for the GPU fleet. Creative pricing strategies, such as bundling GPU types and implementing surge pricing, will also be part of the job.
