Requirements
- 7+ years of experience with IBM Mainframes (z/OS, COBOL, JCL)
- 3+ years of experience leading operational teams
- 5+ years of experience with DB2, CICS, and IMS
- Experience in the operation and management of batch processing
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and analyzing issues related to batch processing and systems
- Experience using mainframe monitoring tools (e.g., Tivoli, OMEGAMON)
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency (speaking and writing)
Responsibilities
- Manage and operate IBM Mainframes, including batch processing
- Troubleshoot system failures and analyze root causes
- Manage DB2, CICS, and IMS middleware
- Manage security and disaster recovery, including access management, policy adherence, and DR plan implementation
- Manage backup and recovery operations
- Review and improve operational procedures, propose automation and scripting solutions, and perform performance tuning
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support
- Create and present operational status reports
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Support new projects with technical expertise
- Lead and mentor team members
