Requirements

  • Masters in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related field with 2 years of experience, or Bachelors in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related field with 5 years of experience
  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes Ecosystem: custom controllers, webhooks, operators, CRDs, and API server extensions
  • Strong proficiency in Go Programming for building Kubernetes controllers and high-performance systems
  • Backend Development: RESTful API design and microservices architecture
  • Job Scheduling: Distributed job scheduling and workload management systems
  • OCI Standards: Deep understanding of OCI registry protocols and artifact management
  • Production Systems: Building large-scale, distributed systems
  • Understanding of FPGA/EDA Tools: Quartus workflows and FPGA compilation processes (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom Kubernetes controllers and operators for FPGA workloads and Quartus job management
  • Build and maintain admission controllers and validating/mutating webhooks
  • Design custom resource definitions (CRDs) for FPGA-specific workflows and job specifications
  • Implement job scheduling systems, queuing, and resource management
  • Architect OCI registry solutions for toolchain and artifact distribution
  • Build webhook-based automation for environment provisioning and job lifecycle management
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Develop core platform services for license management and resource allocation
  • Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid-cloud, and/or on-prem deployment models
  • Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software
  • May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Altera products within the cloud
  • May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and open-source development projects
