Requirements

High school diploma is required, with a BS/BA degree preferred. Previous computer experience is required, and previous data entry experience is preferred. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, basic typing with excellent spelling and grammar, and proficiency in numeric, oral, and written language applications. Flexibility in work time and shift is necessary, along with excellent attention to detail and organization skills. Adaptability, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities are essential. A willingness to learn new tasks, a positive service-oriented attitude, effective critical thinking skills, good judgment, and the ability to work well with others are also required. Experience with LIMS, problem analysis, problem-solving, and data collection/maintenance are preferred.

Responsibilities

Review test reports for accuracy of patient demographics, clinic information, and regulatory compliance, issuing reports via LIMS. Accurately document and update patient accounts with all received information and actions taken. Communicate electronically with various departments to obtain required information and respond to emails professionally. Escalate unresolvable issues to the Clinical Data Reporting Team Lead. Participate in updating departmental standard operating procedures and databases. Assist with mentoring and training new employees, and perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs. Resolve issues and escalations, checking for data accuracy, completeness, and documentation of each case. Send end-of-day reports and perform other tasks as specified by management. Handle PHI in paper and electronic forms and complete mandatory HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire.
