Job Description

The Client Support Specialist role at Experian is designed to support and engage in sales activities for Experian Preferred clients and prospects. The primary goals are to develop new business relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships. A background in customer service is essential. Experian is seeking a candidate capable of managing a diverse range of responsibilities for multiple clients. This position offers comprehensive training and resources to support professional development and a long-term career path in field sales.

The role reports to the Director of Client Success.


Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client environments and identify opportunities for Experian product applications.
  • Coordinate client communications regarding product and service changes.
  • Conduct meetings with clients and prospects using phone and web-based tools.
  • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, either leading these initiatives or referring them to appropriate sales personnel.
  • Research sales and service opportunities for potential clients.
  • Provide customer intelligence to sales and marketing teams.
  • Train users on Experian services.
  • Communicate client account needs to internal team members.
  • Maintain contact with product and service users to foster stronger relationships.
  • Manage batch programs, assist with DaaS implementation, consult on compliance matters, handle cross-selling and upselling, submit invoice credits/debits, manage client audits, set up subcodes, train clients, and manage reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing/support experience.
  • Knowledge of the consumer credit reporting marketplace and related areas.
  • Comfortable operating within a team-based selling approach with enthusiasm.
  • Proven ability to learn independently and within structured environments.
  • Willingness to volunteer for activities as part of a team-based account selling approach.
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce.com CRM system.

Additional Information

  • This is a permanent hybrid role based in Costa Rica. Relocation assistance is not available.
