Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Compliance or Professional Engineer license, although signoff is not required. A BS degree in electrical/mechanical design and over 6 years of experience in power system/electronic design and submittals are necessary. Proficiency in electrical codes and standards, along with the ability to work independently with minimal guidance, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Engineer will evaluate and lead design requirements to comply with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). They will create and manage county rules and standards for data center development across the US, and support engineering designs for code compliance within sub-subsystems layouts and connection points. Responsibilities include ensuring design compliance meets NEC, UL, IEC, ETSI, and ANSI standards, evaluating and preparing design packages for AHJ submittal, and designing, evaluating, and validating solutions for safety, grounding, and fault management. The role also involves supporting stakeholders from other engineering disciplines.
