Requirements

  • Customer service experience within a medical or corporate environment
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with patients, medical, paramedical and legal practitioners
  • Sensitivity to issues related to people with medical, cultural and social needs
  • Technically capable of working across multiple platforms and being self-sufficient with technology and troubleshooting systems
  • Processing abilities – claims management activities, e.g. file noting
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, sometimes high-pressured environment
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a collaborative team to register certificates and to process payments of accounts and weekly payments received on behalf of employers, injured workers, providers and the Victorian WorkCover Authority in relation to injured worker’s compensation claims
  • Managing weekly payment of entitlements
  • Data entry for individual claims portfolios
  • Dealing with high risk calls with patients
  • Responsible for processing claims requests, in adherence to the policies, laws, and regulations of the company involved
  • CIP (Community Integration Program) Claims
