Requirements

  • 4+ years of General Liability/Auto claims experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with complex and high exposure General Liability Bodily Injury and Property damage claims
  • Litigation claims management experience, including ADR and mediation processes
  • Successfully complete required State licensing examinations
  • Completion of continuing education requirements

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process bodily injury and third-party property damage claims
  • Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure
  • Determine need for and direct independent adjusters
  • Identify and evaluate coverage issues, prepare coverage letters (with supervisory review)
  • Assess liability and resolve claims within established evaluation guidelines
  • Maintain diaries and complete tasks within required timeframes; ensure claim files are timely and properly documented
  • Process and pay invoices within a timely manner
  • Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management
  • Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves; monitor reserve accuracy
  • Refer case as appropriate to supervisor and management
  • Respond to requests/directions professionally and timely; communicate with underwriters and internal business partners
  • Partner with TPA Governance and Relationship Management to help TPA’s and Insureds comply with claim handling and reporting guidelines
  • Work with TPA Claims Financial to check the accuracy of TPA financials ensuring alignment with TTPO financials
  • Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
